What major cities are considered NorCal?

I'd just say anything north of Santa Barbara County. Otherwise you'll get the Central Coast guys all messed up.
Edit: before I get flamed by the norcal guys, I'm not including Santa Barbara County.

The major cities in Northern California: San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, Pleasanton, Santa Rosa, Walnut Creek... um, I know that I left out a lot, but I am trying to recollect the popular/large cities in NorCal.

Monterey and Santa Rosa are big compared with their surroundings. One can move inland and find Sacramento, Modesto, Stockton, Redding, Ureka.
Bakersfield and Fresno are north of Santa Barbara but I wouldn't consider them to be Nor Cal.

Mike,
You will get varying opinions on this since there is not technically a dividing line.
My defination is Fresno north to the Oregon border constitues NorCali.
By the way I have never read a single thread of dispute over this issue so I would not put to many calories into it.

All Mike was looking for were the major cities, I guess like central hubs of sorts. I guess when there is a posting board entitled "Northern California," he wants to put the names of the popular/major cities as denotations, etc. I say SF, Oakland, Sac... let's help add to that list.

Hehe keeping it simple.
SF = Nor Cal.
LA = So Cal.
Eureka = True Nor Cal.
Going off population density. I don't think Eureka should be there, but it's one of the only cities I know that far north...

I always thought that Ceres Keys Turlock Modesto Tracy Stockton et was Central California not Northern Cal.
Even Sac is reffered to as the Valley.
True Northern Ca is North. Sacramento is not in Northern CA, look at a map. It's in the valley about mid point.
HTH's lol

Vavaville Outlets rule, lived there as a kid when they still had the onion factory and Nut Tree and Adobe Park ( Indian Burial Ground if you hike to the top.) The whole town was weeds and fields back then.
Vacaville in Spanish means Cow Town. I hope my translation doesn't bring the Guerro guy into here to debate my 8th grade Spanish lessons (inside joke probably)
P.S. Redding is Northern CA. and for the trivia buffs if you keep going North just before Oregan there is a town called Weed.
When I drive through it I like to listen to Meatloaf and Bread and sometimes even make a sandwhich because I get the munchies just being there (true story)
But to make things Easy
South of of Simi Valley/Thousand Oaks So Cal.
In the middle Bay Area
To the East of 99 Central California
Vacaville to Weed No Cal
Work for everyone?
P.S.
Fresno Los Banos etc ummmm
It's just there man do they have Z's there?
