As for the guy with the avatar of the girl with the fake ***** that look like they are about to 'splode, the base model comes with the double din stereo, the touring has the 6 disc/mono design, as do the Nav equiped models.
So this thread is one huge waste of time. Next time, check Nissan's site, the owners manual pdf that has been available forever now, or just ask instead of complaining....
Sorry to rant. Work sucks.

they also have products like the rockford fosgate three sixty two and the jl audio cleen sweep that allow you to add to factory systems such as these. If you get navigation then you will have to go this route because everything is tied into the screen. If you do not get nav you will get the dash with the standard 3 ***** across the bottom and you will be able to switch out the entire head unit. It also depends on your tolerance level as I will be 40 at the end of this year and I can account for the following:
18 years old 2 15" woofers in the trunk
23 years old 2 twelves
28 years old 2 tens
30 years old one ten
39 years old stock bose sub is good enough for me! Besides that I want navigation!
LOL I guess when I am 50 I will need a ride along nurse!

370Z non-Touring: Double DIN head unit that is easily replaceable, upgradeable or in this case, removable as evidenced by this shot which shows the JDM radio delete option. Non-Touring = cheap = most likely to be the modders choice so a DDIN makes sense as it's easily swappable.
370Z Touring non-Nav: Upgraded Bose sound system. Nissan is banking on the fact that folks who go for the factory radio upgrade with the Bose probably won't care about swapping out head units.
370Z Touring w/ Nav: Upgraded Bose system w/ Nav touchscreen in place of cubby.
Yah it sucks that if you get a Touring it'll be a pain to swap out your stock head unit, but I think Nissan deserves some credit for actually tailoring the different trim lines to different demographics. The DDIN is easily swappable, but for those who upgrade to the Bose and don't plan on any audio upgrades, the integrated unit looks so much better than the DDIN.

That's just wrong. I had two 12's up until I was 37. At 39, I think the the stock bose in the 350 is a poor excuse for a system. The reason I have not doen a system in the 350 is because I like it to be fast too. My idea of a stereo would add 200lbs to the car!
But, I would go for two 10's this time

I'm looking to buy a new Pioneer Indash NAV unit (upgrade from the D3 to a F90bt)... but I'm hesitant to drop the cash on a new double DIN radio if I'm going to be getting a 370Z (roadster) when they surface. I don't mind getting a base model for radio insallation simplicity, but I opted for the 350Z Touring model for the heated seats and side airbags... Are these going to be standard on the Touring model of the 370ZR? I'm still waiting for the Nissan site to load all the options... I don't think their site is working right now.
