It's a sports car dude!
People always cry about the weight of the Z, then whinge about every last possible luxary or extra that's not standard. Look at the Elise for inspiration, we should only need to get by on tape players and spend our evenings recording from cd to tape!!!
All in all, a sports car is meant to be raw and it's people like you and changing times that force cars such as the Z to pack on weight with all this seat warming, electric seat positioning, millions of speakers, 6 cd stackers etc etc...
The product of this is also called the "Lotus Europa"... what a joke.

Korean cars offer the 10 year warranty because nobody would buy them when they first came out if they did not have it. The Japanese Big 3 have the exact same warranty ( 60month/ 60,000 miles ) as each other for a reason. Tell me that you don't think that a Nissan , Toyota or Honda engine will not last longer than 5 years. I have 18 years and 248k on mine.
Korean cars now very well built and are pretty reliable, but they are not up to the level of the Japanese quite yet.

Wow. This has to be one of the dumbest complaints I've ever seen on this forum and that says a LOT. People actually whine over minor things like this?
By the way, there was a recent study that showed bluetooth headsets are no less distracting than talking directly on the cell phone while driving. There's way too many crashes that occur thanks to careless idiots who put priorities on calling someone while in the middle of heavy traffic. Please don't become another.

i agree with u OP.
i think its about time that the Z should have more options like bluetooth on the base model. i hated how the 350 had wack options or no options on the base. well they do that for a reason...
well.... money CAN buy happiness

I have a base model. It came with nothing. I knew that going in. Now I've got nav, Sirius, Bluetooth Ipod control, Bluetooth Audio, Bluetooth phone and Sub pre-outs all on a 7" touch screen double din... So much blue you'd think it was purple. Do more research, less crying and figure it out! You get the base so you can play or you get the Hyundai to be (another word for happy)..

To the OP and 350z in la........ITS A SPORTS CAR. If the shoe fits wear it. i dont understand how you can put down the z because of the "lack of features" IMO i think the car has more features than it needs. Im not complaining , its just icing on the cake. The genisis is an upgrade from what they have done in the past but it cant hold a light to the iconic Z. If you compare features thats one thing but im sure most of us didint buy the car for features, its for the rawness and endless tourqe as well as its well balanced nature. end rant

Rather than knock me for asking for a reasonable base model request like bluetooth and get all defensive, why don't you just admit that you wish nissan would have included it in the base model instead of trying to upsell everyone. That's the real solution here. You act like i'm attacking the whole nissan brand and calling it crap or something. I'm just saying hey, it's 2009 - put bluetooth in the base model. I like the z - it's a great car that handles well and performs well at its price.
