Yea its all cool and all, but why would someone dyno a 6spd car or 7sp auto with use of 4th gear? Wont this give false reading because lower gears get more power?
I think the standard is 4th gear, ive gone to a few dynos and most everyone dynoed my car in 4th and one time in 5th.
Actually incorrect. 5th gear is 1:1 on the Z and is the proper gear. But the car's speed limiter will get hit so it won't read the upper rpms. At least this is true on the 350z. The 370z depending where the speed limiter is might be the same or different. 4th gear will show more optimistic numbers over 5th gear which will show more accurate numbers.
