What happens when the DEALER puts Synthetic in your Car?
I asked for ESTER oil, they put syntetic?? Does this void the warranty. I am taking it back! I have 2 miles on it. What should I ask for?

You guys have 350's, right? Chances are pretty good you're not aware of the issues with the VQ37VHR, ester oils, overheating, etc.
OP - why would you get an oil change on a new car with just 2 miles on it? The car comes with ester based oil, maybe they thought you didn't want ester oil and were requesting it be changed out to the next best thing - a synthetic.

Unless you go in there requesting something that would void your warranty, i.e. insist that they use the wrong oil, that would be the only way they couldn't be held responsible. I'm certain they would warn you of that beforehand.

In CA, I can't imagine overheating being much of an issue. I'm sure dealers aren't making a big deal about it anyway. For 99% of drivers, they never experience the problem and if they do, they don't know it. As the oil gets hot, engine power is restricted automatically. It was first noticed by guys on the track driving the car hard.

Just to add to Nissan dealerships mistakes, I went to buy my MTF fluid at the dealership. I asked for the proper weight GL-4, they told me they don't have any GL-4 and they use GL-5 on all their cars including 350's. I had my owner's manual with me and pointed out that it specifically says to use a GL-4 in the manual transmission... maybe it's GL-5 and GL-4 safe but they couldn't supply any data sheets on it at all.

mrrrkva, your gonna be fine. Relax, take a deep breath. Nissan using Ester or Synthetic isn't going to make much of a difference. Just as DavesZ said, only people tracking the car hard have even seen a difference. Go out and drive your car and stop worrying.

Any quality synthetic oil will offer the same level of protection as the esther oil from Nissan. The OEM oil is not required for the VQ37, we have numerous customers running AMSOIL, Redline, Castrol Edge, Mobil 1, etc and they are not having oil temp problems. The engine is prone to oil temp issues when ran hard we've seen problems and an oil cooler is the solution to that, not oil type.
