I would out this iteration of the Z to anyone else's competition in price, heritage, perofrmance and looks. The Z was formed on basically the same priciples as the Mustang and you guys have to give it credit for meeting and exceeding it's intended market and peroformance. The little things aside...I think this will go down as one of the best Z's of all-time, if not the best! It does it all, price, performance, looks, technology, sets itself apart from all the rest, and yet can be upgraded to be exactly what the consumer wants it to be. Personally I'd like to see it closer to 30 grand, but we're just scratching the surface of this platform. The 350z brought about changes in the market for a sports car of thiscaliber at this price and the 370z will further that shift. I, for one, am completely satisfied as I'm sure you'll be once you change your signature to 370z. I just can't seem to find any adequate competition in this price range...can anyone else??
My 2 cents!

Besides...throwing in a Honda Accord is like bringing a knife to a gunfight...but "my wife" would love it!

Yet the performance, looks, and heritage can be had for at or aroumd 35...that's at least 15 grand lighter, and most definitely can be upgraded to outrun almost anythin under 60 grand with much less than the difference saved! We need a better comparison than this...please...?
135 is 35,600 MSRP
this is a twin turbo go-kart ! look up what that motor can do with a basic tune... oh, and that is a bmw... not a nissan.
just to make it clear, we are comparing sport cars, not family sedans like an accord...
the z had a real advantage @ 25k now it is 35.... and ugly as hell !!!

Secondly...I challenge you to find one equiped anywhere near the one in that picture for anything close to 35 grand.
Besides... in which of the catergories does this car outdo the 370z??
1. Heritage?
2. Price?
3. Performance?
4. Looks?
5. Features/technology?
6. Sex-appeal?
The 1 series may be a good car...but far from great! It's a small 3 series made to suit a buyer in a less expensive bracket who wants to buy a BMW for status...not for performance.
The kind of competition Nissan was aiming for was Porshe. A true sports car and a true sports car brand.

Great pics, makes me like it a bit more. I'll personally keep my 350Z as its almost paid off. I can easily modify it to be better (IMO) than a 370z without much coin. If they offered a V8 version with a VK45 and 400hp for 40k, then I might trade in. Too bad that won't ever happen...

I have to say as others did...theres a lot of potential in this car..Its just not the greatest stock. If/ When I decide to buy one I think I will have to have the extra money to slap rims, susension, JDM tails, and a kit on it just to make it look the exact way I want....

Last I checked that sports car your touting comes in a sedan as well...not a "True" sports car in my opinion.

Yes it is modded and no not quite the performance of the Z but as far as looks....this blows the new Z out of the water in my opinion.
