Default Leave the Moderating to the Moderators

Were these replies really necessary, guys? C'mon, the guy's from the other side of the world and just wants to contribute. Is "FAIL" the best thing you can say?

It's a shame not everyone in the world has the sharp intellect, mental capacity and ingenuity of you Mensa members. It's guys like you that give this forum a bad name. Every time somebody reposts something, we can count on jokers like you making some stupid comment. What are you guys, 12 years old, or something? Why is it that almost EVERY thread deteriorates into a shouting match or name calling?

It would be great if this forum grew to become a place where people could freely exchange ideas and opinions without receiving a ration of sophomoric one liners or astute commentary from self-absorbed, self-important and self-appointed "moderators" like you guys. Who died and left you guys the "Thought Police?"

Leave the moderating to the moderators.

You say leave the moderating to the moderators but yet you yourself try to moderate us.

Um... forum rules state to search to see if a topic you're about to post about hasn't already been posted.

Maybe some of you noobs should take the time to read them, and also take the time to read the wealth of information already on this site and stop thinking you have some exclusive information we haven't already dug up.

Guys, be easy on streetballer - he'd probably missed the previous threads because he's out street balling; as in playing kickball in cul-de-sacs.

It's one thing when a repost was of something from days previous, but really... when this guy posted, there were at least 2 other brand new threads right there on the homepage with the exact same information.

You know, if everybody threw a rock into the Grand Canyon... all we would have is a forum full of regurgitated and reposted information... so really, it's for the benefit of the community.

C'mon... just takes a little bit of effort.

Besides, next thing you know he'll be trying to buy my laptop off of CL with some bullsh!t story about a $10,000 check and he's the prince of some long lost country...

I browse a few foums here and there from time to time, and this one does seem to have a lot of immediate "fail" reactions and other harsh responses... but at the same time it also seems to have an disproportional amount of illogical, immature, unrealistic fanboi postings as well... so it's probably self-deserved.

Agreed. When I first saw this post, the original post was directly underneath it at the top of the page.

Too many immature around to handle this common sense. Apparently you get +1 repect if you post a funny picture with FAIL in it first.

That's a great idea, Trebien. But why do we need 2, 3, 4, 5, or even 6 sarcastic posts echoing the same "FAIL" reply when one is enough? It's like each responder has to try to top the previous one. It's not even funny. It's just a waste of everybody's bandwidth. All at the expense of the OP. Whatever happened to the tried and true, "Search is your friend" response?

I browse a lot of forums, too, and I can honestly say, this one is populated with the most immature cretins yet. If not for the content of the forum itself, the 370Z, I'd have disappeared a long time ago.
