I guess I will have to see it in person....those renderings make it look like it drops behind the doors - then finishes off with a bulbous rear look. Not particuarly attractive to me in those pics, but really have to see one in person.

I have and am a ZR fan but the rear does not work with the front. I feel like I am looking at two cars pc together. The silver rendering looks better than the blue shot so I will have to see in person to make my final decsion. The top looks better than the current ZR IMO it`s just the whole rear flair up over the wheels.
in a drop top. I like roadsters but in the Z you will l lose in chassis rigidity. That will negate the gaines the new 370 has over the 350. Lose the increased rigidity of the 370 and add a 150-200 lbs for roadster and you are behind the 350. Most convertibles are behind in performance to the solid tops. The Vette with frame on rails and the Porsche Boxster which was designed as a convertible are the only average cars which lose little to the hardtops. If you like the look fine but in the Z, you will lose in performance in the roadster..

Nissan already said they designed the 370Z convertible as a real convertible...unlike the 350Z...so it will not weigh much more than the coupe and it will be solid like a rock. We will know sometime in April...it might come in only 150 pounds more than the coupe...which is alright.
The 350Z convertible is solid as it is...there is no flex in that car, believe me I have one for 5 years!
The 370ZR can only be better tighter and lighter than the 350ZR...
I hope you are right about the roadster. I would give up 150 lbs. if it has the same structural rigidity as the coupe. Few cars can make this claim however, if this is the case then I might be interested in the roadster. Will wait for the actual look and testing.

I am somewhat dissapointed.
I do like the new Z coupe.
This says it best....the front doesn't 'work' with the rear...looks like 2 dif cars.
350z roadster looks horrible imo..the lines don't flow at all..if those pictures are real they really improved the looks of the z roadster..370>350z looks department.
