That sounds about right. I read where C&D was guessing a base model around $35K and the Touring to reach $40K. Nissan hasn't released pricing yet, but don't be shocked if the dealers tack on about $2-$3k because it is a new model and it is hitting the sales floors right at summertime.

I am thinking the price will be the same as the current 350Z roadster...so figure around low 40k for a fully loaded one....Touring with sport package and navigation...
You should be able to get $2k to $3k off the sticker price since you can get that on a current 370Z....the economy sucks right now...but wait to buy a 370Z roadster around late fall to early winter...
Get your sunscreen prepared.
The Nissan 370Z Roadster's arrival is getting closer and closer.
Why they decided to waste a perfectly good summer and release it in September is beyond me, but, if it is as good as the coupe, I will drive it top down in New York City's snow and sleet.
Regardless, this is what the firm's press release today:
The 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster is offered in four models. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) start at $36,970 USD for the 370Z Roadster 6MT and $38,270 USD for the 370Z Roadster 7AT. Also offered are two Touring models, which add a 6CD Bose® audio system, XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately), Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, HomeLink® Universal Transceiver, aluminum-trimmed pedals and power leather-appointed heated and cooled ventilated net seats. The 370Z Touring Roadster 6MT is priced at $40,520 USD and the $370Z Touring Roadster 7AT is $41,820 USD.
“The new 370Z Roadster offers more refinement, quality, performance and sheer driving pleasure than any Z® convertible that has come before – while retaining its great value positioning in the sports car segment,” said Christian Meunier, vice president, Nissan Marketing, NNA. “Compared to the 2009 350Z Roadster, the new 370Z Roadster features 26 more horsepower and cleaner emissions from an all-new standard 3.7L with VVEL technology. The Z® Roadster also offers an all-new exterior design, refined interior, all-new auto-latching convertible top design, and technology not previously available on the 350Z Roadster, including Bluetooth®, XM® Satellite Radio and Nissan Navigation System with XM NavTraffic® Real-Time Traffic Information.”
Two option packages are offered (Touring model only): the Sport Package, with 19-inch RAYS forged wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tires, Nissan Sport Brakes, SynchroRev Match (6-speed manual transmission only) and Viscous Limited Slip Differential; and the Navigation Package, with Hard Drive-based Nissan Navigation System, 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive and USB connectivity.
plus $3000 for the sport package
Plus $1850 for the navigation
Total loaded 6 speed manual 370Z roadster is $45370
Notice that they did not price the sport package or the Navigation package in the press release. I am using the pricing for these packages using the 2009 370Z coupe.
Who knows Nissan could charge less for the sport package in the roadster...
Also it sucks that you can not get the sport package on the base roadster...like you can on the base 370Z coupe..
In comparison...
Porsche Boxster S starts at $56.7K (310HP Flat 6)
A BMW Z4 sDrive35i starts at $51.6K (300HP Inline twin turbo 6)
Audi TTS Roadster starts at $47.5K (265HP 4 cylinder turbo)
Personally I'm going to skip on Nissan, after seeing there terrible resale value, basically 60% loss after only 4 years, will have me looking at other vehicles this time around. Plus im still pissed about my top motors going out after only 4 years. Still can't believe they didn't include some sort of manual operation for the roof for problems like this.

I hear ya bro!
Its still gonna cost over 45K for a loaded 6 speed manual 370Z convertible....but I will check it out. But remember there is no other good convertible below 50K that has any performance like the 370Z roadster...
Boxster also have crappy resale value too....bmws are a little bit better but a loaded 2010 Z4 is gonna cost close to 60k....
I might say screw it and go hyundai genesis coupe this round and then get the never version of the Z car when they go twin turbo....
