The ultimate goal is to provide a module that doesn't require a key to be inserted and turned (stage 3). Stage two is a stepping stone to get to that point. However, from a technical standpoint, stage 3 will be MUCH more involved and much harder to install (you have to defeat all the OEM security features, then add new security features to replace them). Stage 3 will NOT be a DIY type module, whereas stage 2 should be doable by most people comfortabe with car wiring.
So, this stage 2 module will be for those who like the look and function of a push button start system but either don't want to go through the hassles of installing a complete stand alone system or they don't want to give up the OEM security (mechanical wheel lock and transponder system).

No, this is solely a KPtechnologies venture. Although the actual pushbuttons are identical our control systems are night and day different.
