They definitely overpaid a little bit, but they definitely made a splash on their debut card. They very well know that they would probably lose money on this one, but if you're going to do something, you might as well do it right the first time.

And besides, this is not a typical MMA org. They're trying to sell clothing as well, much more than the regular UFC apparel. They'll get a huge boost in sales from the attention their cards are making as well.

Tom Atencio will get salaries straightened out I'm sure for his next two cards. He already said that the plan is to make profit in 3 shows. That probably means a slimmer fight structure, similar to UFC.

Hope they get good numbers and make money soon, if not right away.
