or next time you are at your mom's house, download LogMeIn free onto her computer. Then you can log into her pc from anywhere in the world. You would just go to LogMeIn.com and type in your username and password and can access any computer you have setup under your account.

I used this for tons of customer PCs when I had my own IT Consulting business...the free version works great.
