The MSF if for nothing else will give a discount for insurance. Also, if you're 100% stuck on getting a harley, get the 1200cc and not the 883, my neighbor has both, one is his and other is his wife's, he says the 883 is a "girls harley", so just an fyi.
If you're not stuck on the whole "harley life" thing, I'd attempt to steer you in the direction of a metric cruiser, less cash, much more dependable, better all the way around really, good luck
