Default 350z bulb sizes (all of them)

How come there isn't a sticky thread that tells us what size the bulbs are for:
high beam
low beam
parking light (bottom)
turn signal (front and rear)
parking light (amber strip)
reverse light
brake light
inside light

???

Anyone care to join in and share their knowledge?

high beam is H7. low beam is whatever hid bulb is, at least for those with hids. i'm clueless on the rest of the bulb sizes. you should ask Ares. i'm sure he will know most of them if not all.

Have you attempted to replace the bulbs in the back bumper? I was happy when I found out the bumper didn't have to be removed... just remove the tail lights.

I'll try to send the bulbs this week... assuming I can make it to post office on time.

168 and 194 are the same... for these custom Luxeon bulbs, make sure there's enough clearance.

Default LED bulbs

I've got on order a bunch of bulbs from APC:
stop, tail, reverse and front and rear turn signals
(decided not to do the parking or interior lights)

My question: Do I also need a load equalizer or not!

This is pasted from Jam Strait, another LED bulb source:

"Known applications that require Load equalizers for normal operation are as follows:

7440 and 7443 - Japanese vehicles turn signals or flasher will not operate normally. Other requirements could exist, be we do not know of them".

APC is also telling me that I need it, but they don't have it...
how stupid is that?

That sounds weird.
Should the LEDs be arranged and sufficient to where a load equalizer isn't needed?

What a hassle...

Yes i am bringning back this thread from the dead but it's because I have a question. After reading on teh forusm that 7440 luxeon bulbs were the best and would for sure fit in the front turn signals of 06+ headlights I bought a set. however they do not fit at all. They are loose and don't snap it. So loose in fact they will just fall out. however they work on my freinds g35 06+ headlights(front turn signal). I'm really confused and need help because sylvannia says that the front turn signasl for 350z's are 3457 bulbs but everyone says 7440 fits? Idk what going on and need guidance. Btw i looked for 3457 bulbs and couldn't find any at all. seems as if they don't exist. Thx for any help

EDIT: Did a little more reading and supposedly the 3457 fits and 3157 fits in 3457 but I'm not sure. Need clarification

A.H. get your 3457 from VLEDS.COM they have a Led style High-Power, very nice looking and fits well. I own it in my car. I think your supplier send you a wrong bulb size. www.sagahid.com

Maggie, load resistors are used most to avoid hyperflashing on turn signals and hazard. You also may used them to prolong the life of any Led light. Regards, www.sagahid.com

I just got my car back from the shop and they have 2 different bulbs. Its a 2003 Z
Here is what is on the original bulb which has the blue tint to it
P/N D2R 35W 85126
E1 03U DOT J223

The new bulb they got me has all of the numbers/letters above except for the "J223" Causing the new bulb to turn white with no blue tint.

See attach

Has anyone experienced this problem? I thought they only made 1 bulb and the one with 100k miles on it looks better then the new one on the right in the pic

I know this is an old thread, but I am hoping someone here can help me.

I need a bulb replaced in my 03 headlight and I am not sure what kind of a bulb that is. I am posting a picture so that you guys know what I am talking about. Also is it hard or easy to replace these on your own? Can it be easily done as a DIY or does it need to be taken to a shop?

It's a small bulb in that small bulb slot towards the bottom left of the head light unit. Near the bottom of the red strip on the side, just at the bottom left of the whole unit.

My light in the amber strip (inside the headlight) just went out. Whats the part # for the bulb. I tried searching it but no luck. I also have extra license plate bulbs, are they a direct fit?

08 Manual shows it as front side marker light LED. 03-05 Headlights are different.
