There's nothing like that feeling of the guy handing you the timeslip, that you hope is in th 13's and before he gives it to you he says..."You need a helmet"

Welcome the the 13s With some smaller, lighter rims you would easily be around my time and trap.

How can you stand GLD??? I hate that place....

You should head out to Byron or RT. 66 sometime with us Chicago guys.

BTW - I was at Byron last 2 saturdays ago and was running 13s all day...the first 5 runs I didn't put on my helmet...and they didn't say a thing.

Great Lakes is ok. Sometimes they get lazy and at the begining of the season half the bulbs are burnt out on the time display, but it's better than the alley behind my house .

How far is Byron from Chicago?

I still have the slightly damaged bumper from the raccoon kill. Also the washer tank leaks. Its no big deal,I havent been using the washer fluid since November of 03. I think I will wait until another raccoon does damage

Wow, it's suprising to know that the Z is capable of running high 13s stock after seeing all the mid 14s in the magazines. Goes to show that those testers aren't the best drivers in the world. My friends keep ranking on me for buying a mid 14 second car but now I can brag about bein a high 13 second car. Kudos to the drag kings out there. Of course, i'll never drag my car. It's just too nice of a car and my parents will be pissed when I come home with shoe polish on my windows. I think I had enough fun in my GTI(1/8 mile best- 9.4. Avg-9.5-9.8 STOCK). I swear I've run that car at least 60-70 times. Clutch was slipping at around 25K Miles.

Your friends are on crack if they think the Z is a mid 14s car....with a horrible driver it is...but any decent drive should be able to pull 13s out of it.

Show them my vids if they don't believe you
