Hi guys,

A couple of weeks ago I went crazy and purchased an used HKS S/C system with the GTM modified blower and the 10psi pulley... Last week I started the installation and I've been working about 2 hour a day every other day. The installation doesn't seem complicated but the fact of getting a used kit brings little issues like a bolt or some stuff missing. I still need to finish with the FRS, s/c oil lines, gauges, and putting all the liners, front reinforcement bar .. etc The kit bolts on like an OEM piece and everything fits nicely. I can't wait to finish and have my baby running. Today I had to stop since a belt is missing and some fittings for the fuel return system. On the mean time I took some phone shoots. Followed is what I've installed last week:

HKS GT Supercharger System
CJM Stage 1 Fuel Return System
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
DW 600cc Injectors
One Step Colder NGK Iridiums Spark Plugs
Tanabe Y pipe
Agency Power TI Single Exhaust Systems
B&M Short Shifter
A/F Ratio Gauge
Boost Gauge
Water Temp Gauge
Oil Temp Gauge






Hopefully if I get to budget some more money, I'll get an oil cooler, oil catch can and a plenum spacer..

If any one has any pointers please chime in and help... This is my first time working on a project of this scale

make sure you prime the blower before starting. I think when you buy the blower new it comes with oil prefilled or needs to be primed first.

Chat with one of the vendors that sell the kit to get an idea what they do on pre first start

^+1, Definately ensure it has oil, unless its a self contained unit which we all know would have it already installed by you or manufacturer. Also, you could start the car without the shaft drive belt hooked up until the oil runs through the line.. Then hook it up after warm up..

MR RISK, Jay'Z thanks a lot for the comments. Since I bought the kit used, I ordered the s/c fluid right away from GTM. The system is a self contained unit and I had in mind just filling the traction fluid into the S/C traction fluid tank as stated in the installation manual. Followed by trailer the car to the tuner without starting it so he can adjust belt tensions, s/c fluid levels, and all the advance aspects of this installation.

As today, I'm almost done with the installation of this kit including all it's components. I just need to get the CJM return line inside the fuel pump compartment from underneath the car somehow. I failed several times in the attempt and gave up 2 days in a row also, i have to custom fabricate an air filter since i have fitment issues between the hks air filter and my aftermarket radiator. double pantyhose and zipties???

VIds will be up sir after this weekend sir! I also installed something else to the set up. resonated test pipes I'll tow my car to the tuner this weekend and get a tune up! can't wait! so, vids coming soon!

attached is the belt layout sir. Also, it'd help if you download the rotrex installations manual. The installation procedure is identical. I followed it and worked like a charm!

for the idler pulley, take a look at the attachment(page16). the idler pulley has to sit in the bearing assembly. First install the bearing assembly into the supercharger bracket using the right bolts/washers..etc.. then attached the pulley 1 and 2 into the bearing using the 4 bolts, 4 washers, nuts provided.. the dia 4-3-1 tells you how the parts sit together from last to first.

yes.. you replace the stock pulley for one that comes with the kit and it doesn't have the pattern for the ribs(flat). Also, you use a belt that comes with the kit which is longer than the stock one.

Yes and you replace the steering pump bracket bolt as well, if not the belt will not clear the big head from the OEM bolt. This is what I had a huge headache dealing with when installing mine.

+1 on the oem bolt. It was PITA!
