Default Racing Seats?

I have been looking around for some racing seats lately. I am fond of the brands Bride and Veilside and would like to get a red seat like in this video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLFZfqd4dn4

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on a seat make because since the car is my daily driver, I want to make sure it'll be comfortable and maybe reclinable. I have been trying to search the web but couldn't really find anything and was wondering if maybe I was just missing something? Thanks

If you want "real" racing seats, make sure they are FIA approved.

Most of the Bride stuff on the market isn't the original Bride in Japan, basically replica. The original Bride had lost their trademark a few years back. Not sure about Veilside.

I have Sparcos in my Z. In terms of comfort, your size and weight will matter, seats are designed differently for different folks.

If you just want some red seats look for some cheapy ebay ones if it doesn't matter to you.

Whats your budget? Are you looking for fixed back or reclining?

The stock leather seats sucked for autox so I decide to replace them with these: http://www.corbeau.com/products/fixe...seats/fx1_pro/

I daily drive my Z and these seat are pretty comfortable. The seats, brackets and harnesses cost me about $1000. I recommend that you try out the seats before you purchase them. I sat in a lot of seats before I figured out the FX1's had the right fit for me.

Here is a pic of the Veilside VSD-1 reclineables in my Z, sorry the photo sucks but should give you an idea.

As for fittment:

They are small, dude.... Threads in the past have said 36" MAX, but im a 32" waist and barely fit in these things. They hold you VERY well, though. The design is well thought out, with the padding extruding out from the seat so you have room for your helmet, and the torso support is money.

Height: I am 6-2 and with the Bride RO type rails, i fit perfectly height wise in the Veilside's. Enough room for a helmet if I want buts it's close.

As for comfort:

They are pretty damn comfortable for a racing seat (NOT FIA approved, as Terrasmak mentioned no reclineable is FIA). I have a friend that has the Bride, Japan special edition Kevlar Gia's, he thinks the Veilsides are WAY more comfortable, as do I. The Brides offer more waist, bolster, and torso room width wise, but much less padding. Also, the padding can be removed in the Veilsides (velcro).

Give me a call if you wanna discuss seats, we sell all the major brands and I can tell you what will fit you (size wise) as well as what will fit your budget and needs. We deal with Sparco, Recaro, Corbeau, Status and other smaller companies as well.
