Compression Rod / bushing replacement part numbers

I have a clunk in the front end, I am thinking it is the compression rod bushing because this seems to be a very common issue with these cars. Apparently early the 03-06 design was weak and failed easily, since then Nissan/infinity has re designed and improved the compression rod.
I went into my local Nissan dealer here in Toronto Canada and explained the cluck, they said that it was most likely the compression rod. The compression rod part number is 54468-CD00C is retails for $250 cdn here. I asked if I could just replace the bushing and they said no, you need to do the whole rod/arm.
So I did some researched online and found out that some people were able to buy just the bushing from infinity and have the old one pressed out and new one pressed in. Apparently there was a TSB about the compression rod on the G35s and a bunch were being replaced under warranty. Rather than the dealer having to spend $250 to replace the rod because of a worn bushing they started to sell the bushing on its own for $32. This bushing has a part number but doesn’t have a vehicle connected to it, meaning you would not be able to find it under a 350Z or G35 parts list. Under the parts description it only says Bushing, doesn’t say what for. The only way you could find this part is if you already had the part number or if you somehow found it connected to the TSB. Even if you have this part number you wouldn’t be able to find it under the Nissan part list because it is only a Infinity part number. But this is the same part in a 350Z and 2 door G35s.
It looks like Nissan / infiniti was very sneaky about this, they have the part there so it is cheap for them to replace but hind it from us so we have to spend 8 times as much to do the same job. So I just wanted to let you all know this and the part numbers just incase you need to replace the bushing.

You can without a doubt replace just the bushings. I've done the process three times on two different sets of arms. I ended up putting the SPL bushings in, they press in like a dream, compared to OEM or whitelines due to very precise milling. I have a spare set of brand new OEM, that I pressed out from brand new compression rods I bought three weeks ago so I could keep using my SPL's.
