Performance In It's Purest Form
We will be covering the GT-R PROTO at the Tokyo Motor Show 2005.
Check back for pictures from the show soon.
Pictures will be provided by Godzilla.
You say that now, but when it comes out and it is right in front of you, I guarantee $70k will not be enough for the performance it puts out. My why a beautiful car. It is so much better then the original concept. Awesome how they have touches of NAKED carbon fibre in the front and the back. Love the rear tail lights and of course, I will be having one.
The GTR evokes memories of the e46 CSL and 996 GT3 RS, which is a very good thing, but why must it be so damn expensive. I honestly believe that the GTR should be priced at 55K for a base edition and 70k for all the options and carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is neat but not the majority of the population doesn't care for it, plus imagine the cost to replace the carbon pieces if you're invovle in a front end collision.
wow, i love it. from now on i have to save $100 a day so after 2 years i might have enough just to buy this GT-R!! but i need money on the mods too! who can help????

Wicked4u2c -
That 6 series is hardly stock...but your saying youd rather have this:
over the GT-R
That's not my point dude, the 6 series looks like its worth the money. (if you have ever seen one in person, specially the interior) I keep seeing the GTR and it just looks like a BEEFY 350z
no but for a few more thousand I would much rather have this

Wicked4u2c,
That Bimmer you posted for the $70k look is pretty ugly. I don't like the new Bimmers, the new 3,5,6, or 7 series. Infiniti M45 looks more expensive and Bimmers now look like Chryslers!
I bet the GTR in Black would just smoke! The two tone look would somewhat go away and things will blend in better for those that think it doesn't flow very smooth.

You probably dont see it expensive because its a nissan and not a BMW or Benz Thats in my opinion, Now if it were infiniti u would of had a change or heart
Looks great. So many styling elements from the 350 yet still looks like a very different car. It doesn't quite look "finished" so I imagine it will be refined quite a bit over the next year. Maybe it will have the more expensive look at that point.
love the rear end, the front looks droopy, not as aggressive as i would have thought
love the headlight/tail light jewellery
gees USD 70k, that would be pushing 200K+ here in Aus, that is IF we get it which i highly doubt. As high the performance may be, id still buy a new 997 S. A 200K Nissan here in Aus will be worth half that on the used market once u drive it off the showroom floor. No high priced Jap cars retain their value here
