Default Possibly a few changes on the way

Ok, lately I've been pretty swamped with other activities but now I have a bit of free time to look at possibly adding a few features and cleaning up a few areas on the site, maybe even get the search fixed who knows.

Anyway just wanted to let you guys know if you start seeing changes go on with layouts..

The Search function needs addressing although I think some of the probs are accredited to poor wording on the part of the searcher and the possibility of poor scanning skills, but none the less.

Off subject, but hows you're Youngster doing ???? Feeling better after that down time ????

I think the actual layout of how we view threads is good in its current form. I like how only premier members are allowed to have pictures in their sigs, and the ones that do have fairly small ones. One thing that's always irritated me about other boards is when every member has a gigantic image or animation in their sig that takes up most of the viewable area.

Yes, the giant pictures in other forums are a huge waste of space. Must be the giant truck - little winkey syndrome.

Any chance to increase the attachment file size limit? I know it's a bandwidth issue but just a suggestion.

How 'bout letting non-premier members have custom avatars!? We don't need the special feature to be able to customize the signature area but just the avatar . . .

I propose adding a sub-forum to the 350z section and calling it "quick questions". I know nothing about cars and have a lot of question as do many new members. The problem is, if we start a new thread asking a question most veteran members know the answers to, we'll get flamed. It is NOT as easy to find info by searching as people make it seem. I have seen threads asking a question and getting flamed with people telling them to search. I often search for those same questions and have trouble finding answers. The thing is, I know that there are many flamers who don't want new threads about old questions. At the same time, however, there are many members who love helping others and would gladly answer a question multiple times. If you create this sub-forum, only people with questions and people who want to answer would go there, thus we eliminate flaming. If you don't want to be bothered by these "stupid" questions, just don't go to the sub-forum. I think this is a great idea and it would help many people, including me, getting their questions answered quickly. Please consider this. Thanks.

^ just use a female screen name and you won't get flamed.

Is this why when I search for "3.12" nothing comes up?

Hi KYle, am new member. Sent message to you the other day about how to send a general message to other members. You may not have gotten it yet.

I am asking for help on new z top. Have new 2006 roadster 400 miles. Silver Alloy/Frost Interior/Blue top---what is the top made of, what kind of portectant should I use.

Have had four vettes from 73 to 2001, while the vettes are more powerful this car is easier to drive and just love it. Thank You

Dan Finn

I propose a groupbuy on the lifetime premier membership

Might get some nice $$ together quickly to assist with site upgrades/changes.
