well, its fair enough if you wanted it to go.. there were alot of stupid post/ bench racing stories on there..
but there were also some good threads/ information.but if you think thats going to stop the F&F image then i would have to disagree.
but anyway as someone already pointed out, its too bad it got to the point where it had to go, but its not the end of the world

And I agree... some of the stories were full of ****.

So take your street racing and kill stories somewhere else..

I had no idea we had a street racing forum until one of my friends posted on that forum a week ago. I have to agree that Street racing is usually associated w/ the young/immature 15-25 yr old crowd, but we all have done it so big deal.
Based on strictly a business and psychological standpoint: Street racing forums DO drive traffic to the site. People LOVE drama, it makes us feel alive. (Even if it's simply bench racing or BS stories) it's also entertainment. This benefits a community in a way where you receive opinions from a diverse crowd/different backgrounds/different cars and setups chiming in at a certain situations at hand. I notice most guys on the street forums do not even drive 350z's, but that is not necessary bad for the site itself: ultimately it gives you more members, more posts/interaction, drives up traffic = more paying sponsors.
However on a good note, we'll have less trolls and random BS posts from uneducated members! =D

Yes, a lot of the threads started in the street racing section spawned ridiculous arguments and 10+ pages of flaming, but there were just as many clean kill stories, and I see nothing wrong with that. Like someone else said, just because there's no street racing section doesn't mean it's going to go away.
Boo on killing the street racing / kill stories section.

can't say i'm glad to see it go either. i enjoyed frequenting these boards to discuss racing. everyone of us here is a car enthusiast. whether that be an enthusiast who likes their car to look dropped with a kit and rims or the guy who wants to build a street monster or just the average joe who wants a sports car to cruise around in and show off the the ladies. all of us fall into one of those categories. most all of us have also been caught speeding in our life but moajority of us (not saying all of us) have gotten to the age where we know there is a right time and a wrong time to race on the street.
on another note having street racing publicly shown shows just how well modding your car can change it. most people want more speed. well the way this site profits is that it has vendors who pay a fee every month/year or what ever they agree on and those vendors sell their products. not that they will go out of business but without the stories for people to see real life outcomes of modding with this or that part, the vendors won't make as much money, slowly killing off the site as a whole. if they can't push their products here then they will move elsewhere.
dunno. i don't think street racing is going anywhere, whether it be welcome on the forums or not. you're ignorant if you think this will help. people don't base their enjoyment on the road off of what their car forum thinks of them. they drive how they want because they are their own person and make their own choices.
the only thing this will change is people migrating elsewhere. the good and the bad.
best wishes my350z. we had some good runs didn't we
