Godzilla, just a quick question: Does anyone know what the ratio of 350Z owners to non 350Z owners is on this website? Just curious. Thank you and keep up the good work.

ahh man, i used to come here almost every day to read the stories, asides from the bs ones, they were all fun. either way, whatever is good for the community should be supported by its fellow members.
i'll be reading the ones in 350zmotoring eitherway. have fun everybody, and keep most of the races at the track.

+1 at these posts.

IMHO the racing section would have been great if there was a moderator keeping the forum clean from bench racing and stupid posts about racing in traffic, it didn't deserve to be shut down.

Boo on killing the street racing / kill stories section.

on another note having street racing publicly shown shows just how well modding your car can change it. most people want more speed. well the way this site profits is that it has vendors who pay a fee every month/year or what ever they agree on and those vendors sell their products. not that they will go out of business but without the stories for people to see real life outcomes of modding with this or that part, the vendors won't make as much money, slowly killing off the site as a whole. if they can't push their products here then they will move elsewhere.

dunno. i don't think street racing is going anywhere, whether it be welcome on the forums or not. you're ignorant if you think this will help. people don't base their enjoyment on the road off of what their car forum thinks of them. they drive how they want because they are their own person and make their own choices.

the only thing this will change is people migrating elsewhere. the good and the bad.

best wishes my350z. we had some good runs didn't we.

Thats the one thing I really liked about this site, it was straight up and no bull... Who are we kidding, sure street racing is not legal and shouldnt be done but so are alot of other things and we still do them... Now its just another hyprocracy... This site is now becoming potically correct... Might aswell take down all the girl pics in the lounge cause that promotes pornography... Half the guys in here are married and chat/flirt with girls here all day so take down any possible comunication cause that promotes Adultery... Give me a break... Oh well, theres always streetfire.net

you're right. if you shut down the street racing section things will change. the street racing fatalities will go down 90%.

ignorance is bliss isn't it.

worst post in thread. apparently 350ztoronto is mainly upset because someone put a gun to his head and forced him to read the street racing stories. i bet he's glad it's gone now so that the gun may be removed.

no one forced you to read anything you didn't want to. grow up.

i never actually went to that forum, but i would read whichever ones were new or popular enough to get to the home page. i thinks its pretty stupid to get rid of it. i love reading stories about highway runs. saying we shouldnt promote something that kills people? street racing has been around looong before we had a 350z....or the internet for that matter. to delete it for that reason is just ridiculous.

Just because a forum has a street racing section doesn't mean it supports it at all. There's a lot of (in some peoples eyes) negative things on this site (especially in Off Topic) that I won't say the forum supports, but I guess (according to everyone here's logic) that they allow it, they do support.
