I'll say this... Sure I've raced on the streets before, even got a ticket for it a few years back... I can't even recall how many times I've done it in the Z but I know its definitely less than a handful... I've posted two of them on the board but I've never really felt like "OMG I need to race so I can post it on the interweb" or anything like that. As far as risking others lives goes... Considering we were in the middle of nowhere, meaning no homes, people, or cars.... it seems to me be the only lives we risked were our own.
I'll tell you this... 95% of my races were at the track.
I risk my own life and other lives by just getting on the road. Hell, everything we do whether it be different or a daily routine has a risk involved.

My money says that the "other vehicles" section of off topic will become the quasi-street racing forum.
I'm not sad to see it go even though I've posted there a good bit in the past. I really hope that it means that d-bags like "1quick1" will leave.

Its to bad that people have gotten out of hand thereby causing things they do to get out of hand, street racing being one of those things. Its no longer something that is done in seclusion but has turned into a game of Chicken with no regard to inocents. Good Riddence.... That split second of tearing metal and shattering glass never leaves u.

how about we ban ppl driving with cell phones in ever state first and actually make our driving tests a a bit harder... they are a joke in this country.. you dont even leave a parking lot in alot of states... I am more worried about bad drivers than a few street racers..
And i agree with others, if that forum was moderated to filter out the BS.. and was just kept to straight racing stories it would work just fine and could be a great place for discussions. just my thoughts
