Default Radio bracket alternative ?

So I go to install my new double din after taking out the single din I bought the car with and Ofcorse no sticker brackets . I really don't want to spend 50 bucks on 2 pieces of scrap metal and was wondering if any one ever made somthing of their own or have any good ideas on how I can install this with out having to cough up 50 for the brackets . Thanks in advance , looking to do this today

Amazon Amazon

It comes with new plastic brackets.

If you have a different year, American International might make something similar.

The factory brackets are the same as far as I know, for all years. You could look up the parts at courtesy nissan to see if they're the same for every year. I think the shape of the factory radio is different, thus the trim ring in the later model install kits would be shaped differently. I don't think you could by the kit I used and just use the brackets with another kit either. With the AI kit, the new brackets hook into the trim ring as well as bolting to the radio, likely for additional support due to them being plastic.

Correction, they're definitely different for 03-05:

If you buy some on eBay you might get burned if the seller doesn't know what he has.

You could also check car-part.com to find a junk yard in your area with the appropriate year Z. I doubt any of them will list the radio brackets, but you could search for just the radio in 2003-2005 model years and call and see if someone will make you a deal on the brackets.
