Default DIY Head Unit replacement?

I just ordered a pioneer AVH-4000NEX to replace my current 6-CD Bose system in my 07 350ZR. I hear that this new Pioneer model is also going to support CarPlay soon. So, am all excited.

However, how do I do it? Are there any DIY guides to replace the stock Bose with an after marker Double Din System? Is it a hard one?

I tried to search the DIY threads, but could not find any...

Thanks!

Thanks! Do I need to buy anything in addition to the new Pioneer receiver? Like cables etc? Would it just fit flush in place of the existing bose system? I have steering wheel controls today - would these work just fine with the new Pioneer system too? And do I need to make a hole somewhere to have the female USB port ?

You will need:

a dash kit from Scosche, Metra, search?
since you have Bose, you need an interface module, Pac-audio makes one and I'm sure others do, too
you'll need a steering wheel control module as well to retain your steering wheel controls, also made by Pac-audio and other companies
you can make a hole for your female USB if you want to be fancy. I have mine ran into the cubby with about 6 inches of slack.

Do it yourself. The hardest part is removing the "water fall" and even then thats easy just tedious.
I have my auxiliary coming out the eBrake and tucked by it. I have my female USB under the coin holder in the center. I have bluetooth so I never use those anyways, but theyre there.

What module are you guys talking about? I replaced my Bose with a Kenwood double DIN and used a Metra harness. The Bose works perfect and sub still thumps.
