Headunit not powering up

Headunit not powering up
WTF - Aftermarket poineer unit. It randomly shut off and will not power on and I pulled it to check the fuse and it's fine. All the other fuses are good as well. I am stumped.
I also checked the wires and they seemed to be pretty tight. I did not crimp them but just twist together.
I do have my stock headunit but it's not in the brackets, do they need to be on for it to power up? I read that the antenna doesnt ground it fully but the brackets do.
Any ideas?

you checked all the fuses? the one at your feet and in the engine bay? if its not that the only thing i could think of is it may have been wired wrong and got fried
my problem was none of the wire combos i tried gave it power, acc, and ground so i couldnt ever get it on, i know i popped a 15 amp fuse in the bay, not in the black sleeve behind the battery but the other one, other than that im not too sure myself

Damn man thanks! It was the radio fuse under the hood. I wish I checked there before ripping apart the waterfall. I did check the mirror fuse in the cabin because that was my issue last time lol. When I installed it I did so without the battery disconnected years ago.
Any idea on what would cause that fuse to blow?

dont you hate when you overlook something simple like that thinking it is something much harder. i would check the power wires on the radio and make sure they didnt rub on something and wear through the plastic and then hit metal, or a single copper strand that didnt get in a connector.

Now the engine service light is on. got it checked at auto zone but they would not clear. I already disconnected the battery to reset the ecu and it comes back
P1065 ecm blah blah. I used to have a scanner and would get this code when unhooking my z for winter. I would clear the code with my scanner. Is that the only way to get rid of it?
