Purchased my Pioneer AVH-5500BHS for $250, a very reasonable deal from a buddy of mine. Picture below is the stock headunit n/a Bose that resided in my 2003 350z.
Other items that I purchased to complete the installation to my standards consisted of...
-Metra Turbowire Wiring Harness $15
-MicroBypass video in motion $15
-Scosche NN1647B Double Din Kit $5
Decided to use the good old solder and shrink wrap technique when it came to wiring the harness. To the lower right section of the top of the headunit is the connection for the microbypass.
The Scosche double din kit required some trimming down so that it can open and close smoothly, which can be done with a dremel and some patience. Personal opinions of the head unit is that is an awesome addition that brought my 03 to a 014 real quick. Bluetooth capabilities work very well and now there is no need for a droopy Aux cable (although i have one wired in the back of the Pioneer that goes to the center console). The hands free phone calls are an added plus as well and keeps me out of harms way and out of trouble with the New Jersey cops. The pandora option is cool but that's only because the album artwork is present and looks nice, downside is that there is not much control of the station, you can only skip songs.

Looks great OP! I love seeing double DINs in Zs, it looks right at home.
If you want that '14 look real quick you should get a reverse camera! I got one ill sell ya for $15 shipped if you want it.
I love mine, specially for backing into parking spots.
Did the radio make your speakers louder?

Thanks Dark! the double din does fit the space very well. The pioneer unit did seem to make my speakers louder and more clear. In terms of the purchasing your reverse camera, i really appreciate the good deal and will let you know if i am ever interested.
