Default Possible to bypass only trunk amp? (Bose)

The bose system is driving me insane primarily because of a low hum there is constantly present when the headunit is on (stock or aftermarket, engine on or off, doesn't matter).

Would it be possible to only bypass the trunk amp (controls the speakers from what I've read) and leave the sub amp intact?

I also have a ROEM NIS2 between the aftermarket headunit and I'm assuming I will still need it as I'm using the factory harness and sub+amp.

Also if anyone has some info or diagrams as to how the wiring is done that would be appreciated, as I know the wire colors do not match from input to output.

I found this but would like a second opinion (I have an 04 Touring Roadster):
THE COLOR CODES FOR BYPASSING BOSE AMP (the one in the trunk)

RL+ White/Black *connects to* Yellow/Green
RL- Blue/Black *connects to* Yellow/Blue
RR+ Green *connects to* Blue
RR- Green/White *connects to* Pink
FL+ Black *connects to* Light Green
FR- White [*connects to* Purple (magenta)
FR+ Brown *connects to*Green
FR- Black/Red *connects to* Red

Mine is a 2003 so I'm not sure if this changes for later models.
I also found this: http://crutchfield.custhelp.com/app/...UW44V24tdms%3D

And it states:
The main Bose amplifier is located in the L/R corner of the cargo area. It also sends a signal to the subwoofer amplifier that is located behind the driver's seat, next to the subwoofer. If the main amplifier is removed, use of the subwoofer amplifier will be lost.
So I'm guessing I'll have to leave the amp powered and connected to the sub but bypass the speakers.

And read elsewhere that I need to match up pin numbers, so I'm going to try wiring it up when I figure out how to get to the trunk amp unless I hear otherwise before then.
