Default Stock System Identification

Did a quick search but didn't find anything so forgive me if this has been beaten to death already...still a Z noob.

Just bought a 2006 Base where the original owner installed an aftermarket deck, amp, and sub. There is no sound and he told me that he thinks a fuse blew. I know next to nothing about car audio so my ignorant eyes don't notice anything obvious. My plans are to either a) replace the deck with a newer one, remove the sub and amp, and just stick to the stock speakers or b) replace the deck only and figure out what is wrong with the amp and sub.

The problem with option B, is that I don't want a sub box taking up space in the rear and would rather mount it in the stock position behind the driver's seat (I know, not the best idea but I'm too old to be disturbing my neighborhood with my system).

So how can I tell if my car came with the Bose system or not originally? It says "Bose" on the speaker grill where the sub would be but unsure if that is definitive.

Thanks in advance.

Your base Z did not come with a Bose subwoofer, so it's strange you would have the sub grille behind the DS seat. The original headunit was a Clarion unit, and came with two 6.5" separates up front and two paper cone speakers on the shelf behind. I've had very good results replacing just the speakers with MB Quart and amping the front separates. Here's my review if you're interested:

Thanks dkmura. I also notices the small tweeter grills on the door as well. Maybe I don't have a base? I only assume so since it doesn't have cruise control.

A base model Z would still have tweeter grilles in the sail panels (6.5" separates with tweeters).

My car's a base, but I added an enclosure into the Bose space. I bought a Bose grille to keep it hidden and I shaved the emblem:
