^^ Wiring harness, DO NOT cut the plugs off. I repeat...DO NOT cut the stock plugs off. Spend the extra $20 and get a harness! It's worth it, trust me. Plus the harnesses are color coded. All you gotta do normally is match up the colors from pioneer harness to your cars wiring harness adapter.

no I bought the pioneer unit off Crutchfield which it came with the scosche thing and I also bought the axxess aswc -1 adapter for the steering wheel control. I'm not sure on how to connect the wires from the pioneer unit to the scosche adapter. what I don't get is this too, the original BOSE head unit had 4 plugs going into it while the scosche only have two plugs, how would this work? when buying the unit at Crutchfield I did identify them that my unit was the bose with Nav.
These are the wires that came with the scoshe

The two white plugs connect to the plugs on the car you disconnected from the original Bose headunit. The stripped ends of those wires will connect to the wires from the harnesse(s) that came with the Pioneer headunit. You need to look at both sets of instructions and makes notes to match up the appropriate wires to each other. You can solder the connections and seal with heatshrink tubing, or you can use crimped butt connectors.
I'm going to give you this warning, because I'm trying to help you not destroy your car. If you don't understand how to do this job, spend the money (maybe $50 for 1 hour of labor) and have a shop do this job for you.

wtf...I went to best buy geek squad and was quoted $160 just to install the stereo and we're not even including taking apart the dash and installing everything back on. all they're going to do is install the radio that's it. I asked about him installing the axxess steering wheel control and he said that it was alot of work to install that and that he'll have to charge me extra to install that. like tf. anyone being charge this much for an head unit installation only?
