I'm trying to figure out if someone has info and parts for doing this. I have a Z Touring with the heated seats, but of course there's one blank slot. I think this slot would be a good spot to add AUX and USB jacks, but I'm trying to figure out what panel mount or flush mount sockets I can get that will actually fit cleanly there. Another option is cutting the blank itself, but I'm not sure what cables I can mount securely in the holes.

Tips or suggestions?

I installed on in the dash of my old BMW 635 and it works great. I'm not sure what size your Z's opening is, so measure first. My '08 doesn't have a spot for one of these.

I found this and the dimensions look close but not quite right:

It's 25mm x 35mm, my measurements for the slot are more like 24mm x 38mm. I'm going to give it a shot and see if I can make it work with some tweaks.

That's how it was in my BMW, just a little small in the longer dimension, but it doesn't really create any problems.
