Ok, I'll ask the big question:

What screen did you use, and did you have to make any major modifications to the console section to make it fit? I, for one, think that it's the best, cleanest install I've seen yet for an (I presume) aftermarket LCD screen, and would really think about putting it in my car.

Thanks in advance for offering up the help. It's greatly appreciated, and it's what makes this site so great.

Hey , I spotted a couple of goodies under the hood.
1) looks like a JIC cold air intake w/ heat cover
2) hyper-ground system
3)"Z" emblem on the black shroud
4) NISMO oil Filler cap
5) NISMO radiator cap

Really nice set-up under the hood and the tunes, too.

I am severely jealous. I would like to yank out my NAV and install something similar unless NAV-TV.com comes up with a "fix".

Nice setup! But why did you get 1/2 DIN EQ? It would be sweat if you got a fullsize 15 band EQ/ DSP. The DSP can make some sweat sounds! Did you do the install your self? If so, good job!

The monitor is a Microvision 7" screen. He posted this in InternetAbyss's Nav-Tv thread

$350.00 Installed!!!! (replaced a Farenheit 5.8"). Install shop gave him a good deal.

Let's start shopping!!

Maybe I have it wrong, but I believe that the monitor install in the above link was not shortbusrydaz808's car, but was Bjmnzzzz's. Shortbusrydaz808 lives in Hawaii so it would be a pretty tough drive to go to Vegas to get the monitor installed. Hmmm, on the other hand, maybe if you really overinflated the tires...

Please don't come back and say that a "fullsize" EQ won't fit (along with a new headunit) as I have l already purchased both and am just waiting on the install.

Oooops!!!

Sorry for my blunder.

But maybe, this is good news, as I wasn't having any luck finding the Microvision lcd on the web.

Hopefully shortbusrydaz808's is more readily available.

Default screen info

the brand is ICON-TV
model number W7000M
It is a raw module, which means it is only the screen, no molding or housing. Th screen is 7" flat screen wide screen super high resolution.
I mpaid list price for it which is $799.00 and I had to pay to get it all installed too. A pretty penny.

here's the link to the ICON-TV web site

Default Here's what I did

As for the intake, I got a generic intake pipe from checkers for $40.00 polished it up and cut it to fit. I already had a K&N filter so I used it, it was not used yet. I had a 86 240sx and I kept some spare parts for my 89 240sx. One of these parts was an aluminum adapter for hooking the cone air filter to the stock maf sensor. I tried it and it fit perfectly. So thats the intake.
I really didn't notice any major performance gains, but the sound is much deeper and agressive. Well worth it.

Oh, and I bought the intake heat guard from jim wolf. It comes as a goldish alloy color. Really ugly. I polished the whole thing with Mothers aluminum polish. Looks great.

I also made polished aluminum covers for the battery and brake fluid covers.

the Hyperground wires.
once again no major change.

My next project is getting the 7000k hid for the low beams and the 6000k hid for the highs, and I already made a orange super led running light system for in the grill.

One more thing, I removed the Z that is on the rear strut tower brace in the trunk, sent it to a cnc machine shop where they will be making an exact replica of it and etching it. Then a orange super led is going to be installed through the bottom and will mount back. It will be hooked to the clifford alarm that I have installed so you can see alarm indication from the rear. Plus walking up to the car and seeing the Z blinking will look tight.

k boo

Aloha
