Did you have to take the Farenheit out of it's shell to fit it in the cubby? I have my car at the installer now and they cant figure it out...

I've got the standard e-bay rear view $37.95 camera on order. It was the smallest I could find and I'll mount the back-up camera just above the license frame. Being a SB the black of the camera will blend right in. If I didn't have an SB color car I would have bought one of the $200 license plate frames with the camera mounted in the top of them.

For the forward facing camera I thought it would be nice to have it mounted in the license plate itself so I'll pop a 1/8" hole and mount a pin hole camera in there. Figure something color with +380 lines of resolution and a 2.8-3.6 mm wide angle lens. I'll pick it out of supercircuits.com when the time comes. I've got five or six of their cameras around the house to play with which lens would look best that low. I don't like having to wear the front plate and I'm forever pulling it on and putting it back ... the camera will slow me down a bit and help keep me legal.

You need to fire your installer!

Do you have the '03 cubby or are they trying to get it into the '04.5-'05 one that uses a different door?

My big questions are: How do I remove the cubby itself, and once I get the screen hooked into the cubby, how do I connect it to the x-box cables and power?

All of your questions regarding how to remove the cubby, how to install the screen, how to connect cables are answered elsewhere on this forum already. The only reason I'm chiming in is because I've spent the last few days researching the same questions.

Paul,

I think you're my new hero ...

When I get the courage to try to take apart my center console I'll be referring back to some of these threads. Right now, I can't even get my V1 hardwired -- and that is supposed to be easy.

I just got done with installing this lcd into '03 cubby on my '04 enthusiast. All in all it was pretty dang easy.

My question is this.. it seems the cubby is a slightly different color than the stock cubby and doesnt quite match the rest of the console. Is this the same experience others have? Any way to remedy it?

Also is there a way to make the lcd turn on automatically when the car is started? I wired it to switched power on my head unit. Would wiring it to constant power make it turn on automatically?

Alright I've got an 04 touring roadster. Is the 03 lid from performance nissan going to be a different color like spinez was saying or does it match up? Also I noticed that this thread was a little old, can you still get the farenheit screen at the website posted? I can't seem to find it. Any help is appreciated.

I've got a couple if you want to buy one. They're not in the box anymore but they've never been installed.

millionbuy has the screens ... but they definitely don't match up with the 2005's ... it's not too too bad ... and I figure I'll get an overlay kit anyways ...

The color is a bit off but it looks fine - nobody has really noticed it or said a thing if they did. Looks like it was designed that way even.

I dunno ... I can tell on mine ... maybe cause I always have the top down with the roadster ... the top curve is also a little different ... I can mostly tell cause I know where to look I guess ... most folks don't pay that much attention.

I'm not even very handy but thanks to you this is something I was able to do myself!

Anyone have any pictures of the 03 lid in an 04? I'd like to see what you guys are talking about. Also, dark muppet how much you want for the monitor and are they in perfect condition?
