Awesome install Bing! Can't wait to get back my kick panels & have them installed!

Lsmith9523 is right, you need to open up a shop here in Atlanta. With all the 'ballers' here, I'm sure it would be a lucrative deal for you...

...or at least then I could have you do my upcoming install!!

Bing - This has got to be one of the cleanest, stealthiest installs I've seen in a looooong time.

With all the complaints about the stock sub location, I'm wondering just how good it sounds? Honestly, I had no complaints with the factory Bose setup as I kept the bass at a minimum most of the time anyway...

Wouldn't it be plausible to mount them in the air vents behind the vented plastic? I can't imagine that even on the hottest setting it would be any hotter than sitting on the dash on a 90 degree day in the summer. Just a thought, tell me what ya think.

thanks guys...

you atlanta guys, i keep on tellin ya, there is already a version of me in atlanta, except hes better at installing than i am lol

his name is Jeff Smith, and Runs Audio Designs of Atlanta, call them up and tell him Bing from DLS sent ya

OCZTracjm wouldnt that involve cutting into the factory vent? usuallyt i try not to do that, it would atleast have to be drilled to allow the wire to go through and then resealed? but also, what happens when the customer wants to shut the vent? it is worth looking into, but i just hate to cut or drill any vents if i can avoid it

i like my systems to be able to trouble shoot easily and uninstall as easily as possible

Bing - you are correct on the IR link. It is a light beam, albeit higher in frequency that the human eye can see, it's still just light. You might try experimenting with some kind of thin but coarse cloth. Speaker grill is too thick and makes what looks like a tunnel to the light beam. As you get off to the side it would have to reflect down the tunnel and this creates bounce effect with distortion. Something like cheese cloth might work.

Your work is wonderful though. Is there anybody in the mid-atlantic area that's you could suggest ? The Z is not yet bought but very close hopefully. (Waiting for a insurance settlement from the goof who pulled out infront of me while on the Harley)
