Does anyone happen to know if I can get my ipod to play video thru the full speed cable? It says it can do it via the usb cable but it does not refer to it with the full speed cable! I just want to make sure before I button all of this up. Anyone have a clue? Or do I need to run them both?
I read somewhere that it will only display music/video through the USB connection. The fullspeed connect will only play music...I wish I could remember where I read that. I think it was on a review of the W-505 from Crutchfield. I hope this helps.
thanks...I will change it out...So what is the big deal of having full speed cable and you can't even see video from it! that is not worth the extra money to me...
I'm thinking of this HU and will be connecting ipod through it most likely. I get the USB, but what do you mean by "full speed" is that the iPod direct connect adaptor?
It is a separate cable that you can buy that plugs to a connection in the back of the HU and it is supposed to be better than the USB but I don't see how because it will not let you view video. I will be switching mine out this week...k
The "Full Speed Cable" is not better than the USB. USB gives the best input, the Full Speed Cable is a legacy option from the previous generation of iPod interfaces where it 'was' faster than the KCA-420 interface etc.
