Default Zwole's SQ setup......

Hey guys wanted to post some pics of my system i finally got almost finished. Im waiting on some stock kicks to come in so those arent in on the pics. Went from kicks to pods for now so thats why they are missing.

kicks are missing because they used to be 2 way fiberglass so im waiting to get some stocks for now. May end up getting bing to make me some for my midbass for better imaging. No money left for now though.
So far its sounding really great. Have a fantastic center and great stage height. Mids arent broke in yet so got a ways to go. Slowly but surely its getting there. Already blows away my 2 way passive setup. who knew lol thanks for looking let me know what you think....

setup is as follows

DLS Iridium 3 way components run actively.
Mids and tweets in dash pods, midbass in door pods.
sub is for now a jl w6v2 in an understrut box. will be changed soon.
amps are
jl 500/1 for sub
DLS RA 20 for midbass
DLS RA 40 for mids and tweets.
Source of it all is Clarions DRZ9255

Heres some pics, give me a break im not a photographer .

thanks. Yeah its suede it used to match my kicks but now the pods it kinda clashes. Might end up trying to vinyl it but i think its gonna be a pain as many curves etc. there is. It doesnt bother me that much though as long as it sounds great its worth it lol.

Front stage speakers look a little bulky and out of place, but I bet it sounds nice.

System looks good man.

Nice install, but like everyone says about the pods it does look very out of place. Get them vinyl and you'll be good to go. That deck is money, $$$$. Who did you ever find to tune the system? I remember you asking about it in the Texas region forum. No pictures of amp rack/location?

believe it or not 699 shipped on amazon. I thought it was gonna be a refurb but when i called them they said it was brand new. When i got it i was surprised as well great price and it was brand new. I couldnt be happier with the price i paid and the unit itself.

Theres a guy that runs a shop in Tulsa that is called Boomers. His name is Mike Hudson he does awesome work. Im prob gonna take it back to him in a few weeks when my mids are fully broke in. For now ive been researching a ton and learning about active setups, Ive done a pretty good job at getting a good center etc. I know it can sound better just gotta be patient and keep tinkering. So far i love it though couldnt be happier.

I can snap some pics of the amps here in a bit. Nothing real special, i have the 500/1 and the RA 20 in the bose cubby, one on the floor and one on an elevated carpet rack, the other ra40 is in the glovebox on the same type of rack. I wanted them to be hidden for now. When i get a new sub i may sell my 500/1 as well and get a ra10 so they all match. If i do then i will problably build an amp rack for the hatch so they will show. I just dont like showing off amps that done 100% match.

Thanks to everyone for the comments thus far. I spend alot of time in my car and so far its been worth every penny i really enjoy it. I just gotta spend some more money to deaden it more and cut out some road noise. I want it to sound like a lexus on the inside lulz.

What deadener did you already use and what do you plan on getting when you get more of it? I think I'll go with SecondSkin Damplifier.. 40 sq ft bulk pack for doors and hatch... then add more later for roof, floor and bottom of the trunk.

Also, what is so special about that headunit that it costs so much? It doesn't even support USB or iPod

Ive used some left over dynatmat in the hatch. Im gonna end up using raamat prob i cant see spending so much on second skin.

the drz is one of the best SQ decks on the market. you can read about it a little on the clarion website. A good SQ deck shouldnt have an ipod connection nor a usb connection, ipod and usb are not good sq sources.

It's a SQ head-unit with nice built in processor. You can read more about it here.

http://www.clarion.com/us/en/product...385113235.html

Very expensive though, I'm perfectly satisfied with the Pioneer Premiere 800PRS.

But those SQ heads don't care about usb/ipod connections, convential cd's offer better sound quality.

^^ Dangit, beat me to it... Glad you got the system up and running, I'm going to have to hear your system one day while you can listen to mines.
