You should see me barrelling down the freeway steering with my knee, shifting with my right and holding the microphone with my left.

I've been a very safe driver after I totalled my sb 350z last year.

Right now that is bar far the best head unit out there, I am an Alpine fan, but after finding out about Eclipse's new units --that all changed my mind. If you could, can you take pictures of the graphics that are use for the touch control and display?
Awesome !

I actually got the Eclipse unit myself. Been too lazy to post pictures. This thing is great yet has some quirks to it.
1: The standard trim that came with it looks awful.
2: MP3 playback is great, but the interface is so slow. If you have too many directories on a CD it takes forever to list them. Plus you can't just stop playing an Mp3 and search through the directories. A song has to be playing while doing this.
3: Nav is fine. Still figuring out the best way to search for things. But I have found it works pretty well. Lots of points of interest, good touch screen. Good interface.

I had the Pioneer 7500 dvd before my eclipse unit, and I find the eclipse unit's interface extremeeeeleeey faster. This unit does not have a lot of flaws. Nav is not as great as the pioneer (lack of voice controls) but very simple to use and definitely worth it. Point of interest is a lot but does not have a good search option. There is no search option by phone number, which is a great feature for the pioneer. I can not say anything about Alpine cause I have not used it. Screen displays very good even under direct sunlight. And unlike the pioneer the eclipse looks "stock".
I will post more reviews regarding the Nav later. I am still learning to use it. If you have specific questions regarding nav, just ask and I will try to answer.

I would like to see more pictures of the unit while it's in different mode (mp3, dvd, nav, inserting cd/dvd). How's the pre-amp coming out of this unit?

Re: Does AVN2454 have a EQ?
Yes there is an EQ in the unit, it works pretty well with some pretty nice preset too. I got one in my car and love it, looks stock and at night very hard to tell its in there.
