I appreciate your sentiments and, yeah, I'm thinking about it but it's very time consuming.

There are "plug-n-play" connections at the key switch and factory harness at the steering column; you have to then tap into one wire at the BCM (Body Control Module) for the LOCK led on the push button switch, tap into one wire at the clutch switch (for the engine STOP function), and tap into two wires at the HAZARD switch for backlighting of the push button switch. So there is a little additional work involved but I cannot make it any more "plug-n-play" than that.

I should add that I'm selling my prototype to a forum member (who can identify themselves if they wish) and perhaps that person will post their observations as far as ease of install, etc. I don't know whether I will do a DIY write-up and/or sell pre-made kits or not; the way things have been going on my end over the last several months, I may have to sell my '06 for financial reasons .

I will be the person buying the proto type starter. I will get some great pictures once I get it and install it.

Thanks again Greg.

No offense USN -- but Greg, don't sell the prototype! Won't it help to have around for reference when you put these into production for us? (hint hint)

Damn, that's awesome. I'd definitely be interested in picking this up, if it were put into production and didn't cause any problems.

got everything from my mail box today. I have to say that everything is put together very very well. If I have time I will be installing it tomorrow. I cannot wait to see how this works and looks installed in my car.

Thanks again Greg.

I have not done a step-by-step DIY (yet) and I probably won't for a while; it's very time consuming to do schematics, etc. I'll wait to hear from USN HM 350Z and his thoughts, comments, etc. when he installs the prototype I sold him.
