Yeah theres a bit of a gap at the top back end of the speaker you can see in the pics . What I recommend to people is if you want a 100% perfect fit do the fiberglassing mold within the actual trunk, we pulled the side panels out and just molded those since they were flimsy we had to compensate a bit. They sound fantastic though! I got lucky and only had few quick fix rattles. I primarily love that their hidden.

Is not that fiberglass a little thin?
You can see right through it.
How many layers of fiberglass did you lay down and what weight mat did you use?
Just making sure it doesn't crack for you after a little while.
How did you calculate the volume in that enclosure?

Alot of fiberglass layers not sure the exact amount but Over the course of about 2 weeks also the bondo was a fiberglass bondo mixture which I did several layers of as well. I didn't take step by step pictures more of a collaboration then anything. As far as the volume I used a ruler and kind of winged it, but final result ended in a little over 1cf. Someone tell me were to get the spray paint for ax6. Yes I'll look at were to get it on the forum search. :P

Nice, I have done fiber glass boxes for over ten years and so far none came back.
But I have seen some where they think it is the amount of resin used that makes up the strength, ooops it is the opposite.
Can't you wrap that in vinyl, would look OEM.

be sure to at least give it a thumb test... pushing on random spots mainly in the center to see if you have an "soft spots" any flex should not be there and would indicate that a thicker wall is needed.
hope that helps...
