These are the switches.

They are in my thread and on page one of this thread.

Here is the brake switch. When the brake is off it is pushed, closing the circuit. When you hit the brake it releases opening the circuit turning cruise off. The clutch is the same deal.

In the upper left corner where your clutch pedal cuts off there is a screw hole. put the clutch switch there.

That clutch one is the only one I'm not finding on Courtesy Parts. I've tried searching for it but this is the only piece remotely close I can find: http://www.courtesyparts.com/25320x-...tml?cPath=714&

But it looks different than the one you have pictured. I just want to be completely sure I order the right stuff before I dive into this. Do you have a link for those?

the part you looked up is the switch for starting the car.

this should be the switch, but they do not have the pic:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/25320q-...4_715_751_755&

but use the number in the pics on the thread, it is 2500-62joe

These look exactly like the ones pictured and have the right description (from what I can tell by the names):

http://www.courtesyparts.com/25320x-...tml?cPath=714&

http://www.courtesyparts.com/25320n-...tml?cPath=714&

Theres so many of these switches that just have 1 number or letter different than the others...

Well now the only problem I'm having is finding a shop in Texas to help me with the reflash.

I contacted two of the most popular companies on this forum that tune with Uprev with no return phone call at all about a stock tune.

I called UpRev and talk to some one in sales and told me to send an email to support with the info, I did and WITH IN 5 MINUTES HAD MY STOCK EV12A TUNE EMAILED TO ME. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST.

Yep, newer cars buttons are tethered with stereo controls. Older cars were 2 seperate parts.

Hopefully I can get my led conversion wrapped up and get my touring model gauge cluster in for the cruise indicator lights...

Glad to see people are taking advantage of this, it truly was a disappointment when I realized base cars don't have cruise control and at the time "impossible" to add. I absolutly was going to buy a base model car for weight / cost savings.

Called Uprev today! Just gotta get the parts here and head to Austin. Maybe I'll be the first '05 base with cruise. I'm really pumped about this!

I hope you guys can help me out on this. I took out my airbag today to try and check if I have what I need to put the steering controls on my Z, but I'm not seeing anything. I'm hoping that I'm just missing something. Do the wires from the controls go into the same "terminal thingy" as the red wire does? If not, am I just out of luck? Does mine look the same as y'alls did?

Yep,

That terminal will have the rest of the pin positions filled for the CC signals.

So this is the sequence I need to do for my 2008 350z Base?...

Buy these two parts and install around pedal area...

-25300-at300
-25300-62JOE

Buy this part and install in steering wheel (need to take out airbag for install, then put back in)

-25550-CF40A

After those three parts need to configure the car computer. This is the part I don't quite understand. How do I get the software (I don't want to change anything about the performance about the car) and how do I install it in the car?

After these steps I should have cruise control on my base 2008 350z w/o lights in dash?

Please let me know if I got this right and thanks for the amazing find guys. One thing I really want on my base is the CC followed by a LSD but that is way off in the future.

The ECU must be flashed with the software from a higher end ECU. The way to do this is via an UpRev reflash. This can be done by: a local tuner with the Uprev package, sending your ECU to Uprev for reflash, or having an Uprev usb tuner cable with Osirus Standard or Tuner license. Either way an Uprev tune is needed so your looking at a performance upgrade.
