modded bass ****
a little background on what my audio set up is
Doors
-jl c5 6.5 components
Headunit
-Kenwood dnx 5160
rears
- stock faded all the way out
Bass
- 2 10" alpine type r dvc 4ohm wired together down to 1ohm at 1200w rms in a zenclouser box.
my main reason for doing this is i like my bass my girlfriend hates it to the **** makes is easy i dont have to go into the kenwoods eq and mess with a bunch of stuff to turn it down for her.
the problem my hifonics amp came with a pretty nice bass **** i wanted to keep my audio pretty oem looking and clean so i would have mounted it in the cubby hole but im making a gauge pod in there so what to do.
i opened it up looked simple enough so i moved the **** out of the big box.
what you need
go to radio shack and but this solder kit its everything u really need
you also need some wire get a few different colors.
thats pretty much it
i opened the box and this is whats inside
then i desoldered the **** from the pcb
cut 6 wires the same length and soldered them up added some heat shrink tubbing and find a place to mount it and ur done
make sure all the wires are in the same spot where the post started.
here's what i mounted in it needs to be re-painted
finished product
