Clarion MAX685BT Touchscreen DVD Bluetooth Head Unit, JL A1400 500W Mono Amp
Up for sale is the stereo setup from my abandoned Z project (which I just recently sold). I was going to reuse this in my new daily driver, but I've got another plan in mind.
Everything is in working order, and in very good condition. Everything has been in storage for about 3 years now.
Both of these items are currently listed on eBay as well, but I will end the auction early for a buyer here on my350z.com. I'll provide links to the auctions if you'd rather go that route.
Clarion MAX685BT - SOLD
I bought it rebuilt from the manufacturer for a very good price, and have been very happy with it. It's in excellent condition with no scrapes or scratches. All of the buttons work with no stickiness. The screen is clean and in tact.
You'll get everything that came in the box: the remote, media harness, audio harness, and trim.
This is a 2 DIN touchscreen unit supports bluetooth (both phone and audio streaming). When I purchased it I didn't have a phone that supported A2DP (audio streaming) so I never got to test it personally, but the phone worked great. DVD and video playing is crystal clear from what I can remember.
It has iPod control via USB as well. There's also a navigation and satelite radio module that connects with it if you want that functionality built in directly.
JL Audio A1400 Amplifier (Mono Class-D, 500w RMS @ 2ohms) - $180 shipped
eBay Auction Link
500 watts RMS @ 2ohms with low passs filter and bass boost. It comes with the BassLink cable as well (though I'm not sure what that gives you without looking it up).
To be honest, I'm confused by this amps specs. It says plain as day "mono block amplifier" but it has inputs for 2 channels (left and right), and outputs to 2 channels. The manufacturers specs also state that it's a 1 channel amp. My only guess is that it the 2 channel output is just a convenience for powering 2 subwoofers, but it's a mono signal.
Either way, if you're hooking this up to a dedicated subwoofer output on your head unit, it doesn't matter.
Here's the manual if you want to investigate: http://mediacdn.jlaudio.com/media/mf...pdf?1317781622
If you're interested in a custom sub enclosure and subs, check out my other thread.
