Somehow I think the person who doesn't check the tyre pressures now won't bother checking it via the monitor either so unless it makes a constant, irrating beeping it's not really of much use to the "general public".

Anyway, I just stopped at a dealer on my way between offices and checked a couple of things.

1. Wheels are confirmed for the track - NO Rays.
2. NO HID lights
3. Cruise control - YES

The guy I spoke to also said all of the little issues that have been seen in other markets initially have been resolved (I'll take that with a grain of salt thankyou).

are Rays rims possible to be the option for the track model at all???? How much do they expect us to pay for that over the standard 18" wheels? Anyone???

I'm hoping to have pricing info tonight but doubt it. As soon as I have something I'll post it here.

Still don't know why we have to pay extra for them while other markets get them as standard.

Yeah.... I don't know what's nissan australia doing though! because they could have put the Navigation system/ DVD player as an Option.. but guess what?! I don't think they even consider this option in our market! What we get will be just an empty compartment!!! They should have put it as an option... and if people don't wanna pay extra for it, that's fine.... just for people who want it don't need to go aftermarket!

They probably don't have the NAV software for Aust. It may show up as an option later.

I'll probably install a LCD screen in that area eventually. One thing I noticed, IMO, is that area looks huge in pics but in person it's not really that big.

The reason I was told we're not get the Nav system is quite simple. The aussie software/maps are design for a CD player type system, unlike the DVD systems the US & Japan have in their Z's.

On the Rays issue, I saw & sat in the Aussie spec. Track model (silver in colour), here in Melbourne in the a reception area at Nissan Head Office. It had the wording "Rays Forged" on the rims plus it that splash guards fitted. I was told that this was what we were getting in Feb, I will be pretty pissed if they have ripped us off.

Nissan originally said we'd be getting the same spec as the other markets. Since then we're not getting the HID lights, tyre pressure monitors and, according to every dealer I've spoken to so far, no Rays.

I've said it in other threads but I'll add it here for the sake of completion.

NO RAYS on the Track. They're not available for order with the car except as a spare part (the $4.3k price was correct) so if you do order them you'll pay just as much and they'll arrive in boxes.

They can shove that. I can now see 19" TE37s in my future

Forgot to add the dealer said the car at Nissan HQ in Melb is a Jap spec car, not Aussie. Same for the Sunset that was at the Sydney motor show. Nathans race car is also a Jap spec import.

My thinking exackly, I will import, but I'll wait to see what's around. The only thing I've ordered on impulse is the Nismo body kit, front bumper/spoiler, side skirts & the rear spoiler just love the look.

I assume you mean import the vehicle. Correct me if i'm wrong but there is not enough physical differences in the overseas market to allow the vehicle to be imported and registered in Aus.

About the rays wheels, how can they call it an "option" if you cant choose it at point of sale? Sounds more like spare parts to me!

I know. The dealer I ordered from today said he'd actually get them from the spare parts department if I wanted them as part of the order.
