Called NRMA not long ago and they still don't have it listed. And in a weird turn of events my current insurer won't insure it unless I modify it. Oh well, guess I'll have to give in and buy some mods. Curse my bad luck.

If I were you I wouldn't ring and confirm, just pay it. Once they've accepted it they can't do much about it but if you give them a chance they may realise the mistake (if any). Just to be sure all of the details are correct (ie model, VIN etc etc).

Out of interest I just rang AAMI myself and after being on hold for a short while was told they couldn't give me an estimate as they don't have any information on the car.

What's going on?

MR RIZK
The dealer rang me the other day and said that the insurance was going to be using a 200SX. I said "Why that is a turbo, surely they should base it on the S2000, because it is a NA 2 seater import."
I asked what company he was using and he said Suncorp.
I put in ZZZ-35's general details into the Suncorp online quote for 200SX and got $1050. So it seems that AAMI is using the 200SX for reference as well.

noooooooooooooooooooooooo..

Thats is really bad for Sydney siders as the 200sx has a really high premium due to accidents and theft factor. Besides turbo'd cars are not favoured by police here.

For Me
27
60%
Clean history
Chatswood

NRMA
$3800

Suncorp
$2934 excess $1150

FAI
Won't insure under 30

I'm now really regretting selling my WRX.

Please Please any suggestions for insurance companies

Rang AAMI just now and they do not have the listing for the 350z yet.

I'm based in Sydney, Blue where are you based ?

Their online vehicle quoting isn't working either. Maybe they're updating it.

I'm in Melbourne.
I spoke to girl on the desk who knew exactly which car it was.
I didn't have to repeat the name at all.
RACV/NRMA both girls had to speak to underwriters.
Just keep trying, or wait till next week when most companies will have it listed

AMMI web site is back up but the 350z is not listed.

Bad news for me though. I have spoken to about 8 performance insurers and all have said they will not insure it.

The problem is I'm under 30 (27yo) and the car is worth too much.

The best quote so far is from Just Car and it was $2300. The so called performance broker managed a mere $6300.

These are some of the companies that I have tried.

Dawes Motor Underwriting (under 30)
Shannons Insurance (under 30)
Torque Underwriting (over $50k)
Just Car
Unique Car Insurance (Live in Sydney)
Young & Cool (over $30k)

Please Please any suggestions !!!! and this is for a driver with 60% and clean for 5 years
