Didn't do too well. I'm a circuit kind of guy; for me the clutch is either on or off. Trying to balance it with enough slip, revs, and traction wasn't really working for me.
My average was 14.1secs - best time was an agonisingly close 14.005. It wasn't my highest trap speed either, which means the car has the potential to run 13's.
Won't blame it on anything aside from my inability to launch. I could probably have gone faster with tyres that had softer sidewalls, but the 13's were there in the car's setup.
Yep, another one of the NSCC boys joined the 12's club. Actually, the white S14 may have made it too.
Don't have too many photos of the night, but here are some. I was going to scan my best timeslip, but whatever:

That is very close ... what was your trap-spedd, and 60' time. From my (single) experience at the drag-strip, there's really not much else once can do, but improve the 60' time (that is taken that you already are trapping at 160kph). So really it's all down to the launch to get the time down ... maybe the track-surface can help with this when it's a bit warmer.
I take it that you had the Falken RT215 tyres on the car there, right?
How many runs did you get?

14s flat is a very good time for a 1st timer at the 1/4 mile track - well done.
Slippling a clutch is not an easy thing for me to do either physically or mentally, but I guess a few runs won't destroy the stock clutch unless you have serious, think FI, power levels at your disposal.
I've no doubt you'll get into the 13s next time.
