haha yeah that snow was pretty hard core. I was with John and James that year and they went home the day of that snow so they vowed never to come back. If you do go, shoot me a PM, it was nice meeting you last year at whatever event it was at Mid Ohio.
Depending on the weather, I might go up for a few laps. I just ordered a new set of pads and I'm looking for an excuse to wear my RA1 completely before I get the newer ones mounted.
It's suppost to snow for the next week, I'm getting scared. I already paid for Friday. Saturday and Sunday HPDE 1 and 2 are sold out. I know about the blizzard two years ago but last year the April event was beatiful.
Make sure you do show up, even if the weather is bad. You might still get to track. Or they might cancel the event. Usually, you have to be present to claim a rain check/refund.
I haven't decided if I'm going yet. The car isn't ready yet. I might still show up as a spectator.

Heh. John went home, but I stuck around and drove on Sunday. And I was there in August last year.
I couldn't make MO in April last year because I was in L.A. and ran an event at Streets of Willow. This year I'll be at Buttonwillow on April 27-28.
But I will never swear off Mid-Ohio. I've driven there every year since getting the Z, and I don't care if a volcano erupts in the middle of the carousel, I'll keep going back. I love it!
Actually, I want to get to Nelson Ledges for the first time this summer, and I'm hoping to find an NL event a week before or after a MO event. I'll stay with my friends in Cleveland in between. If anyone has any suggestions for that combo, please let me know.
I am prepping all of my HDPE's for this year. I saw the April Mid-Ohio event, but thought it was only HDPE 3 & 4. Since it has been two years since I have been on track and I have only done MO once (with CommaSense), I did not think HDPE 3 was for me. I guess they are offering 1 & 2, but they are sold out.
However, I will be at MO for the other two NASA events this year. I am also going to flat out Fridays and Saturdays at Beaver Run and the NASA event at Nelson Ledges later this year.
My goal is to work up to HDPE 4 this year and get approved for Time Attach/Time Trial for next year. We will see how it goes.
By the way, do watch out for snow at MO in April. When I was there with CommaSense a few years ago, it snowed on Sunday. Also, I am in Cleveland and we have had a lot of snow lately. We had a strong snow last night, but it melted on the ground. There is nothing left this morning.
Hunter, I'm from the west side of Cleveland as well. For now Fridays forcast is looking like 50 and partly sunny in Mansfield. My fingers are crossed and I went to church today.
I have a camera mount that could be installed in 5 minutes in any Z should there be any interrest in that...
That would be awesome Kolia. I have no in car footage at all to show my friends and family. I'm running HPDE 2 and I'm sure you can spot my '04 Lemans Sunset Z. I remember meeting you last year down there.

Sweet. We will have to meet up sometime. Maybe Beaver Run on 5/20 for a flat out lapping day (www.beaverun.com). Also, the weather forecast for this weekend keeps looking better and better.
