yea, we will be at sumitt point and vir.... we are going to try and get the car ready for modified by the time vir rolls around.

best time was 1:14.004
im running michelin ps2 tires and 19in rims for now....
we are building a S2000 strictly for time attacks right now. it should be ready in the few months. over the winter we will pay more attention to making the nismo faster.

LOL, no they allowed them in Modified this year, but for 2009 they will be bumped back up to Unlimited only.

so no racing tires in Modified? thats absolutely stupid. Street I can see but modified? build a FASSSTTT, uncomfortable barely-streetable car and then run it on street tires so it'll put down lap times similar to a spec miata

Street class tires must be 140 treadwear or higher. (R1R, RE050A, RE01R, etc.)

Modified class tires must be 60 treadwear or higher (R888, RA1, NT01, A048, etc...)

Unlimited class has no treadwear limit but must be a DOT approved tire (Hoosier A6/R6, BFG R1, Kumho V710, etc.)

Ohhhhhhh! gotcha. that makes more sense. id rather have it be 60 or higher street, DOT approved in modified, and no tire rules in unlimited. to each sanctioning body their own though lol.
