Default 3 Tracks, 2 Time Trials, 1 day, $275

The Connecticut Autox and Rally Team (CART for short) is holding its last track day of the season at Pocono Raceway in PA on Monday Sept 28th and we are going out with a bang. Circuits Maximus!
If you don't know what this is, I'll explain it to you. First the cost is $275. Hmm, yes that price isn't entirely cheap, but here's what you get. You get to run on all 3 infield courses during the day, then in the afternoon we hold an official time trial on 2 of the courses, THEN after that, we hold the Team Relay event at one of the courses we had the time trial on. And for those you that don't want to do the time trial, we'll have one of the other courses open for you. On top of all that.... the rumor mill is spilling out that we might be able to run the ENTIRE double-infield course at lunch time....more on that later.
So you get 3 tracks (possibly 4), 2 time trial and the team relay for $275. You'll get about an hour on each track in the morning then a few sessions in the afternoon before time trials start.
Cars as classed per SCCA auto-x rules. A helmet with a manufacturing date within the last 10yrs is required as are long pants, long sleeves and closed tow shoes. Instructors are available all day at no extra cost.
We have discounted room rates already reserved at the Blakeslee Inn in Blakeslee, PA and the Best Western in Blakeslee. Both are 10min from the track.
Any questions feel free to ask.
Some motivation for you.

My check is in the mail. For anyone considering this, when you run with cart you get more track time than you or your car can handle. That is of course unless you have a car setup for 8 hr enduro racing and a few drivers. You will also be hard pressed to run with a better group of guys. Another thing I have noticed with the cart events is the drivers are very curtious so if you fast they point you by.

Ah, you're the friend of Steve Tracy's? He was raving to me about his recent trip out there and TT event. If I had more time this year, I'd sign up, that looks like a ton of fun that's relatively easy on the wallet despite the long trek for me.

We became friends a while back when I had my SE-R, good guy Steve is. That car is a piece of Automotive history . It's great to see he's still putting it to good use. He linked me the pics you posted above on FB. Good times by all I see.

Enough of my cluttering your thread, good luck in Sept, take care.

-Chris

My car is a useless pile of sh$t in the rain. Although I just bought star specs to put on my rpf1's for rain so maybe it won't be like my kumho mx's which in the wet made the car feel like it was on ice. If it rains I say lets hold a drift event on the east course. I am going to bring an extra set of tires to burn the hell out of.

It rained during time trials which caused us to stop them part way through....computers don't like rain.
But we ran open track after and I got to work on sliding the car around. Have it on video of the me being tail happy. Actually went completely off that I have on vid too. Got home at 11pm last night and at work now. Will try to upload vids tonight
