I attended the NASA Time Trials this weekend at VIR Full course, and had a great time. The previous record for TT-U was a 2:03 lap and Phil from Element tuning was also there to defend his previous record.
All weekend, we traded fast laps, and in the process crushed the previous track record by over 3 seconds. In the end, Phil in his unlimited class WRX was able to end out our GT-R by a little over 1/2 of a second.
It may sound corny, but I feel a great sense of accomplishment for hitting that 2:00 flat mark at VIR. It's something I had be trying to do for a couple of years with a few different cars. And finally, mostly with a little more courage (VIR is a very ballsy track), I was able to meet my goal!
I accidently damage one, so I took the other side off to maintain balance. Greg from Aeromotions told me I lost about 10% downforce without the end plates.
Sharif, great runs, you guys looked really amazing. I was in the Cayman on Friday sessions, and I was giving you point bys 30-40 car lengths early or as soon as I see you on the horizon, that was the approach speed on the straights; just amazing.
Congratulations on the 2:00 flat as well, I don't doubt you'll be below that your next run, lines are looking very smooth.
Cheers,
FT

Yes I remember the car! Yeah, the closing speeds on the back straight are off the charts. Had a great time, and it was fun hanging out with the Mid A crowd.

woohoo! Nice!
I won't be attending as next month is pretty booked for us. I will gone for a week out in California for Super Lap Battle and the Redline Time Attack season finale. Then Nov 21-22 at Road Atlanta with MVP.
And then I think that's about it for the rest of the year.
