Track day exterior set up

Track day exterior set up
I'm focusing my attention to track events and my question is how many guys have a different front bumper or an exterior set up just for track events? I currently have a Chargespeed bottomline front lip, Chargespeed underwings, and a 1st Moulding rear diffuser. For daily driving I barely run into an instance where I hit/damage the lip. I've seen various guys running V1 front's and they're relatively cheap and replaceable. I don't think I'll have a problem with my underwings but I may just take off my diffuser for track day for an unexpected off road adventure(I'm a track newbie). Any info would be much appreciated... thanks.

well if the diffuser is functional more than form (idk anything about the diffuser you mentioned) then leaving it on would improve your times nominally/some once you become a track pro

Lol... yea emphasis on the "pro" part. Here's pics of the diffuser but I don't have it installed on the car yet.
I got it from Z1auto and here's the link.

wow that actually looks like a real functional diffuser. Unlike some of the other replicas that look like they would catch more air instead lol.
If your chargespeed lip was expensive, then I'd recommend taking it off for track days. Cuz any off track with a low lip could possibly rip the entire thing off.

For awhile I used painter's tape on my bumper because I was afraid of little rock chips and debris on the track, then I got lazy and just went like that... Picked up a used nismo z bumper to beat up at the track but again, got lazy swapping it... Haha...
If you want look into quick release fasteners which attach to your fender and bumper, eliminating the 2 screws on each side for easy swaps before and after track day (if you have 2 bumpers)...
Or... Just leave it on and look good while going through your paces at the track! That's what I'd do

I don't want to get into an argument about it, but I can pretty well guarantee that "diffuser" will not slow nor speed you up, so leave it on if you feel there is no damage to be done in the case you spin out and go off the track backwards over rumble strips. If that is a risk you rather avoid, then take it off...
For the front bumper, I have a "spare" that I run at the track, but its also because its hacked up a bit. Theres not a lot of damage to be done to the occasional weekend track run, but the more you go out the more you want to not care about the little things. Swapping the bumper isn't much of a hassle, about the same as swapping wheels.

I was wondering the same thing. My CWest N1 front sits really low, but it has awesome ducting for the radiator and intake. Plus it has a few custom options for brake ducting. It would suck if I ripped it off though, I got the last one in the states.
